Typical project flow is as follows:


Part design support
An Envision engineer will work with your team upfront with product formability suggestions. This service is very helpful in getting the project started on the right track and ultimately saving your company engineering dollars.

Draw form simulation
Each deep draw formed project is simulated to ensure that the part is formable. Simulation will show where and how much the part will thin and thicken after it has been formed. After final simulation has been proven, data will be used in the design of form tooling.

Tool design
All projects are designed using the most current three dimensional solid modeling technology. Design team members have been working in this field an average of 18 years each.

Tool build / cnc machining
Tooling components are machined to exacting tolerances, utilizing one of our several hi-speed cnc machining centers.

Stamping
Parts are formed using hydraulic form technology.
Press inventory is as follows, (1)500 ton, 36” stroke (1)300 ton, 48” stroke (1) 200 ton 24” stroke (1) 200 ton 18.5” stroke (1) 60 ton 16” stroke.

Heat treatment
To prevent distortion and spring back, critical stampings are annealed in vacuum furnaces. During this process all of the oxygen is purged out of the furnace and replaced with nitrogen, prior to being heated to a certain temperature for a pre defined amount of time. Stampings are now in a normalized state and will be final formed 1 more time. The result is a stamping that is as close to net shape as possible.

Laser cutting
Stamping trim lines are cut utilizing 3,000 watt 6 axis laser technology. Result is a clean and accurate trim line that is clean enough to weld.

Welding
Components are transformed into assemblies in this department. Welding is predominantly done utilizing the tungsten inert gas process. All production welding machines incorporate the latest pulse technology. Result is a deep strong good looking weld.

Final inspection
Each vessel is pressure tested using 8 to 15 psi of compressed air.

Shipping
Each item is checked one more time as it is loaded into the box or crate. Items are carefully packed to ensure they arrive to your door in a condition that you and I expect.
